Phase III of the HCG Diet Continued…

It’s been another week on Phase II of the HCG Diet and I’m feeling great.  I also lost another pound this week!  I’m down to 211lbs!  When I started reading Phase III of the HCG Diet, it says that if you gain more than 2 pounds you should take certain measures to make the weight come off.  Now two days ago I weighed in at 214lbs.  That means something caused me to gain two pounds!  I’m not sure if it was too much salt or if maybe I had too many carbs that I wasn’t aware off.  Either way, it says that you should not eat all day and than have a large steak and go to bed.  Well, I wasn’t about to have the steak with my track record so I just ate very clean.  When I say clean, I still had butter and oils, I just took away salad dressings and went back to apple cider vinegar with olive oil.  I also took away the apple and grapefruit.  I then arrive at today where not only have I lost the two pounds, but I lost an additional pound.  What I’m trying to say here is that you don’t have to go to extremes if you gain weight, just take somethings away and your body will naturally lose the weight again.  It worked for me!  I’ll catch up with you soon.

Phase III of the HCG Diet Continued…

Well it’s been a few days since I last checked in with everyone.  There are a few things that I wanted to talk about today.  First of all, I lost another pound!  Forget about worrying about weight gain, I’m still losing weight and I’m eating more food!  That’s great!  Since I have been on Phase III, I have made sure that I don’t have cheese or beef.  I’ve decided to try to bring in some supplements again to see how they make me feel.  I’ve done some research and I found that people who tend to have food sensitivities can also suffer from a condition called Leaky Gut Syndrome.  If you haven’t heard of it before, it’s when the mucosal lining of the small intestine starts to break down.  This breaking down of the lining leads to a fish net like appearance that allows undigested food to penetrate into the body.  This inturn causes toxic shock.  Many times this is caused by a decrease in gastric juices(HCl).  When there is not enough HCl in the stomach, this means undigested food will go into the small intestine starting the whole Leaky Gut Syndrome.  The interesting part is that medication can cause a lowering of the HCl in your stomch.  The most interesting thing is that when you have low acid in your stomach it can also cause heart burn/reflux.  Now isn’t that something!  So imagine having low acid levels in your stomach, having heart burn/reflux and taking something like prevacid or tums?  This would shut your acid down completely!  Sorry for the long winded explanation, but I wanted to share that information with you.  I went ahead and started on some supplementation for this condition and I’ll keep you posted on how I’m doing.

Beginning of a new week-Phase III

It’s Monday, and I am on the “Low Carb Diet” or Phase III of the HCG diet and there was a funny thing that occurred.  When I had cheese, it caused me to gain weight!  Wow!  After I got off the cheese, I lost the weight.  Now I know that I have a food sensitivity to dairy and beef and it has always caused me issues, such as excess gas (both ways!), bloating, and heart burn.  I thought that staying away from it for a prolonged period of time would make a difference, but it didn’t.  I decided to have a technique done on myself called A/SERT (Allergy/Sensitivity Elimination Reprogramming Technique) to see if I can desensitize myself to dairy and beef.  I also use this technique in my office and it works great.  I’ll keep you posted.  Other than that, I have been doing wonderful.  I am at the same weight that I finished Phase II of the HCG Diet.

Beginning Phase III of the HCG Diet

Well, it is the beginning of Phase III and I have lost another pound.  So my ending weight on Phase II of the HCG Diet is 213lbs.  So I guess you want to know how it was to have breakfast?  AWESOME!!  I guess I had no idea how much I missed it!  I had no problems doing the last three days on the VLCD without the HCG drops, it really didn’t make a difference.  It’s definitely interesting being on the “Low Carb Diet” now because I have no cravings.  Everything is a treat to me!  I have no cravings for carbohydrates one bit.  In the past when I have done the Atkins Diet, it was tough not having carbs.  The saying that you’ll miss your bowl and spoon for cereal was definitely true!  BUT, not now.  It’s rather easy.  On the HCG Diet, you need to stay on the low carb diet for 3 weeks.  Thats a piece of cake!  I can easily go more than that after having nothing for 25 days!  There is a small thought in the back of my mind that worries about me gaining weight when I’m in Phase III.  I know that not having starch in my diet is not going to let me gain weight.  All I’m having is protein, fat, and an occasional fruit (grapefruit and apple).  All I can do is trust the process.  I’ll catch up with you soon.

Official Last Day on HCG Diet

Hi there everyone.  Today is my official last day on the HCG Diet.  It’s actually 22 days rather than the minimum 21 days required.  As usual, I feel great today. I weighed in this morning at 214lbs.  So, the next 3 days I will be doing the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) without taking any drops.  I’ll let you know how I am doing at the end of the three day period.  I don’t foresee and problems at all.

I wanted to give you a little synopsis on how my experience was with Phase II of the HCG Diet.  I would honestly say that the beginning of the diet was tough.  I noticed that for the first week my energy was low and my hunger was definitely present.  I would say that this lasted for about 8 days or so.  Then suddenly like someone flicked a switch, everything changed on the 8th or 9th day.  I suddenly had energy and my cravings and hunger were starting to diminish.  This got better and better as the days went on.  Now some people on the HCG Diet report that the energy and hunger disappear quicker than what I experienced.  All I can say is that everybody’s body is different.

I also noticed that sleep did play a part in my food cravings.  If I didn’t get enough sleep I was going to be hungry the next day.  This was definitely true for the first week and the beginning of the second.

Food sensitivities definitely played a part in this diet (at least in my experience).  Make sure you go to a professional that can test for food sensitivities in order to let you know what foods may keep you from losing weight.  I am a Professional Applied Kinesiologist and I do energetic testing to fiqure this out for people.  In my case, I found that red meat and me are not friends when it comes to weight loss.

I think that’s about it.  So I’ll keep you posted every fews days to let you know how I’m doing on phase III.

HCG Diet Day 19

Hi there everyone.  I weighed in this morning and I am still losing weight.  I am down another pound weighing in at 215lbs.  I feel great and I am having very little hunger during the evening.  When I am in the office seeing patients, I have a ton energy and I am very clear headed.  I find it very easy to navigate to my patients core issue.  I wanted to talk about the slight hunger that I am feeling in the evening time.  I’m going to get a little teacherish on you.  Whenever you experience an “event” in your life whether it’s past or present, it causes a physical feeling to happen.  We had mentioned last time that this physical feeling can be a tight chest, stomach, throat, etc…The difference about this hunger compared to the hunger I felt at the beginning of the HCG diet is that I see it as just a feeling to me.  I have no emotion attached to it.  I actually allow myself to experience it.  I know, it sounds kind of weird, but that’s the best way I can describe it.

So far to this date I am very satisfied with the HCG diet.  It has been the easiest diet that I have ever done.

HCG Diet Day 17

It’s been two days since I last checked in with everyone.  I weighed myself this morning and I am down another 1.5lbs, weighing in at 216lbs.  I weighed in at 217lbs when I first got married and that was almost 7 years ago!  Can you say YESSSSS! I will be doing the HCG diet for one more week, or should I say I’ll be done on Monday of next week.  So far I have lost 17lbs in 16days and I’m still amazed about it.  I have not done any type of exercise (only because Dr. Simeon does not recommend it) and still lost this much weight. When Phase 3 of the HCG diet starts, I do intend on working out.  As usual, my energy has been very good and my food craving have been low.  I never have any food craving during the day, they are only around in the evening time, and they are very low if any.  I notice that when I am under some stress, the cravings are more.  I understand why because eating was my OLD way of coping with stress.  Even though it is old, it still manages to find its way back every once in a while.  Seeing the scale drop down everyday is a big driver.  I see the benefit of not cheating on the diet, where before the diet I couldn’t see the benefit. Having stress is a big factor when it comes to your cravings.  When you have stress it creates physical feelings within your body (i.e. tight chest, stomach tightness, throat tightness, etc…) and if we are not willing to feel these “feelings”, we will always resort to avoidance by food, drugs, alcohol, etc…  This diet definitely helps you feel the feelings. Make sure you’re ready to address them before going on the diet.

HCG Diet Day 15

I woke up this morning beginning week 3 of the HCG diet with a weight loss of .5lbs. I weighed in at 217.5lbs. Another day of weight loss!  AWESOME!  This is the first time in over a week that I only lost .5lbs.  I felt myself actually saying, “that’s it!” but in the end it’s .5lbs lighter than I was yesterday.   I am feeling awesome!  I have a lot of energy, I’m barely hungry, and I have clarity.  It’s amazing how you can feel this way on a 500 calorie diet.  The eating has become very regimented.  It’s very easy for me to stick to this diet.  I can see other people eating carbohydrate and fat rich foods and I’m OK with it.  The other thing is that my evening cravings have gotten better.  Even on the days when my evening cravings are a little stronger, the benefit of seeing the scale drop down each morning is enough drive for me to stick with the diet.  I’ll keep you posted on how I’m doing.

HCG Diet Day 14

Well, I tried something different last night, I had a filet for dinner and it was darn good. I seared it with some organic spices on a pan and it came out perfect. It was measured out raw at 100 grams and when I ate it, even though it shrunk down, I was in food heaven. BUT, I am sensitive to beef.  Now when I say “sensitive to beef” it doesn’t mean that I get a crazy reaction (throat closing, anaphylactic shock, etc…), it just makes my body work harder.  I can feel that my body finds red meat hard to digest.  I feel that telling you this is very important, because I did not lose any weight this morning. Nothing else was changed in my diet except that I had steak.  It is important to get tested for food sensitivies just like I do for people in my office. I am going back to my turkey, chicken, or fish choices and avoiding red meat. If I lose weight tomorrow, then I feel pretty strongly about the food sensitivity comment. I hope that helps some people if they are looking to get on this diet.  I’m not really upset about not losing any weight this morning because for some reason I sort of expected this to happen. I’ll let you know how tomorrow goes.

HCG Diet Day 13

It’s a great morning!  I can’t believe how good I feel!  My son was not feeling well last night which ended up being a stomach virus.  We ended up going to the ER and not getting to bed until 3:30am.  It’s about 9:17 this morning and “traditionally” I would be dead tired, but suprisingly I feel alert and great!  Amazing!  This is how I have been feeling for the past 4 days!  The HCG drops are really working well for me.  They’re actually working better than I thought they would.  I weighed myself this morning and I am another pound down.  I weighed in at 218lbs.  I love how the weight is just coming off my body.
